SAILING TRIPS

After my first sailing trip in 1994 from Copenhagen to Stockholm,

where I froze my butt off, and was sick most of the time,

I swore to never sail again….

Never say never !!!

We tried again in 2000 in the Caribbean. Splendid but stupid idea,  5 greenhorns on the cheapest boat we could get, we quickly learned why it was cheap. Wrong season and lots of things falling apart or not working. It was definitely warmer and more pleasant, but still I spent most of the time lying down and throwing up, and one thing was for sure, we did not spend enough time ashore.

So the 4 of us gave it another try, more “land time”, and with the years and a super (secret) medication I am fine, I even got my skippers license and the trips get bigger and bolder by the year.

Here we celebrate reaching my 1000th nautical mile, I am now officially a Skipper ! Yeah !
